Summary:
With The Gibraltar still mostly empty, Captain McMillan and Commander Arado were ordered to Starbase 375 to be debriefed. In the mean time, Lt Jg Braveheart was instructed to take command again. His instructions, to take the Gibraltar on a heading of 312.216, which he later found to be a course towards the Romulan Neutral Zone.
With tensions still mounting within the Romulan Empires, Lt Braveheart contacted Starfleet Command and gained confirmation that they were to report to Admiral Jaffee at Starbase 213.
En Route to the neutral zone, Lt Braveheart decided it would be a good time to do some basic diagnostics. concentrating on Tactical, Communications array and the Sensors.
Upon final arrival at Starbase 213, Braveheart contacted Starbase 213, where Admiral Jaffee approved for them to dock for full system repairs and diagnostics.
The Gibraltar is now waiting on the return of full crew compliment.

Episode 28: "The Infiltration"
USS Gibraltar, Episode 28:
The Infiltration.
Cast and Crew:

Summary:
The Gibraltar... nearly empty. The crew: on forced shorelave. The ship: remotely controlled from the USS Ajax. On board are the two most senior officers: Captain McMillan and Commander Arado. The Captain's mission is to infiltrate Lore's Borg base, and disable its defences, so that the Starfleet ships can attack from orbit, and get rid of this thread.
Commander Arado's mission.. is to accompany the Captain, and make sure that he does not succomb to the Borg once again. He is to do everything in his power to prevent the Captain from getting assimilated...
It is a good thing though, that the Commander joined the mission, since he quickly came up with an adapted version of technology from two Borg experts, the Hansens. This technology, if it would work, that is, would prevent them being discovered by the Borg. At least, that's what they both hope.
Finally, the hour is there, and both officers transport down to the Borg base. They quickly find the room where the defensive systems are getting their power from, and the Captain goes to work, with Commander Arado standing on the lookout. But just as the two had started their work, they heard a voice...
Lore's voice...
Both Captain McMillan and Commander Arado quickly work faster, but Lore already comes in, with an army of Borg drones. He heard something... Just as they enter the building though, Captain McMillan is done, and the Gibraltar quickly beams the two of them up.
Before the Borg can respond, the fleet in orbit fires everything they've got... and completely destroy the Borg base. The Borg threat is over... for now.

Summary:
With their prisoner being turned over to Starfleet, the crew of the USS Gibraltar returns to their patrol site, trying to find an explanation to the odd behaviour of the Borg. After all, in such a weakened state, after the crippling blow Voyager gave them, they should not be attacking the Federation. And yet. . . they were.
Answers came in the form of a visitor. . . one whom the Captain remembered from his short time as a Borg. It was the Borg queen herself. She came on board with a rather unusual request: a request for help.
As it turned out, Lore, the Android brother of former Lt.Cmdr. Data, was reassembled by the Borg, but had gotten out of control. He had used his knowledge of the Borg to form his own collective once again, and this time, he had sent them against the Federation. The Borg queen seemed to be losing her hold over her followers. Chaos had erupted in the perfect collective. Chaos the Federation would be able to help solve.
The Borg Queen provided the co-ordinates of Lore. . . but it was quickly discovered that there were several Borg ships in orbit: Borg loyal to Lore. So a Federation fleet was formed. . . and pretty soon, the Gibraltar would be one of those, trying to destroy Lore. . . helping a ruthless enemy get rid of an enemy even *more* ruthless.

Summary:
The battle had gone well... but now it was time to find out *why* the Borg had entered Federation space anyway. It didn't make any sense: the Borg had been seriously compromised by Admiral Janeway back when she was in command of Voyager. So why were they here again?
So, the Gibraltar crew boarded the Borg cube... only to find it deserted. Well, not entirelly... there was one single Borg cube on board, who was an individual, and who even surrendered to the crew. From him, and from the information gathered at the Borg cube, this was a repair vessel... as there were two others out there: one in Klingon space, and one near Romulan space. Other Borg cubes were in Federation space too, but they apparently didn't offer any resistance.
What was going on? What was wrong with the Borg? Apparently, the Borg have suffered an illness... the collective is in disarray. That is, at least, what this Borg says. But can the Crew believe him? Especially when the Borg ship self destructs, and the crew can barely escape. What is because of a subspace transmission, or because of this Borg drone?
As the Crew struggles to find the answers, they set course to starbase 227 to deliver the Borg drone into safe Starfleet hands...

The battle with the Borg had begun. It didn't take long before the first ship was destroyed... and it wasn't the Gibraltar. The extra updates paid off... but even so, the Gibraltar wasn't indestructible. The remaining Borg ships -a Cube and two Spheres- gave it all they got... but the Gibraltar crew managed to shake them off.
Now, with the battle over, the crew is preparing to board the disabled Borg ship. Sensors say there's no power on board... but with the Borg, you can't be too careful...

Episode 24: "The path to war"
USS Gibraltar, Episode 24: "The Path to War"
The Gibraltar, under command of Captain McMillan, encountered a stellar nursery near what used to be Romulan space, and went to investigate. However, the sudden arrival of the USS Zhukov with their Captain telling that they had an urgent message for the Gibraltar crew, made the crew all but forget about the science mission they had been on. The Captain of the Zhukov beamed one person on board, and then left, only to say 'good luck' to the crew.
When the turboliftdoors to the Brigde opened, a ghost from the past stepped in: Lt.jg Kieran Braveheart, former science officer of the Gibraltar and currently part of Admiral Janeway's Borg-research team, had arrived. The reunion was far from pleasant: he bore disturbing news. Starfleet Intel reported that no less than five Borg cubes were on their way to Federation space. Not all at one spot, but all around the Federation border: they were trying to prevent the Federation from forming one massive fleet, by splitting up their forces.
Lt.jg Braveheart didn't only bring this information though: he brought upgrades to the Gibraltar as well. After having studied upgrades done to Voyager when she came back from the Delta Quadrant, Starfleet Command had decided to give the Gibraltar similar upgrades. It would take the crew a week to install the systems. . . but it was a good shot against the Borg. So, the crew went to work.
When, after a week, the crew had finished installing the upgrades, the modified sensors detected what the crew had been fearing all week: a Borg cube, heading straight for them. It was time to put these upgrades to the test. . .

Summary:
Captain McMillan called Lt.'s Westland and Bourne, and Ensign Torvalar, to his Ready Room. Apparently Starfleet sent them a rather disturbing order: to investigate the entire ship. Apparently someone or something was transmitting secret information off of the Gibraltar. It was up to these four officers -of which one might still be a traitor- to find out what was going on.
They searched through Engineering, they searched through the mess hall... and there they found it. A transmitter, hidden in a replicator, was found. Apparently... it was Federation in origine.
Heading back to the Bridge, the Gibraltar crew discovered more evidence that a bridge crew member was responsible for this. Surprise about this turned into disbelief: how could a Gibraltar crewmember have done such a thing?
Then however, Lieutenant Bourne stepped up, and confessed that he had been ordered by some Starfleet Admiralty to test these three officers. They had, after all, been on board Slade's station recently, and they had been beamed back by Slade. Also, Captain McMillan had been partially assimilated not long ago... all reasons for Starfleet's Security to 'test' the crew. They all passed, according to Bourne.
This did not go well with the other three officer.s Captain McMillan contacted Starfleet, but other than a confirmation of what Bourne had said, he didn't get any wiser. Not even the name of the Admiral was revealed...
With a breach in confidence, the Gibraltar crew had no choice but to continue doing their job, ready to go where no-one has gone before...
