Episode 28: "The Infiltration"
USS Gibraltar, Episode 28:
The Infiltration.
Cast and Crew:
CO: Captain RoBobby McMillan
XO: Commander Unadecal Arado
Summary:
The Gibraltar... nearly empty. The crew: on forced shorelave. The ship: remotely controlled from the USS Ajax. On board are the two most senior officers: Captain McMillan and Commander Arado. The Captain's mission is to infiltrate Lore's Borg base, and disable its defences, so that the Starfleet ships can attack from orbit, and get rid of this thread.
Commander Arado's mission.. is to accompany the Captain, and make sure that he does not succomb to the Borg once again. He is to do everything in his power to prevent the Captain from getting assimilated...
It is a good thing though, that the Commander joined the mission, since he quickly came up with an adapted version of technology from two Borg experts, the Hansens. This technology, if it would work, that is, would prevent them being discovered by the Borg. At least, that's what they both hope.
Finally, the hour is there, and both officers transport down to the Borg base. They quickly find the room where the defensive systems are getting their power from, and the Captain goes to work, with Commander Arado standing on the lookout. But just as the two had started their work, they heard a voice...
Lore's voice...
Both Captain McMillan and Commander Arado quickly work faster, but Lore already comes in, with an army of Borg drones. He heard something... Just as they enter the building though, Captain McMillan is done, and the Gibraltar quickly beams the two of them up.
Before the Borg can respond, the fleet in orbit fires everything they've got... and completely destroy the Borg base. The Borg threat is over... for now.

Episode 27: "We need help. Signed: the Borg"
Cast and crew:
Captain: RoBobby McMillan
Tactical: Lieutenant Junior Grade Sereana Westland
Engineering: C2C Angel Sachertorte
Borg expert: Lt. Kieran Braveheart
Borg Queen: Rain Torvalar
Summary:
With their prisoner being turned over to Starfleet, the crew of the USS Gibraltar returns to their patrol site, trying to find an explanation to the odd behaviour of the Borg. After all, in such a weakened state, after the crippling blow Voyager gave them, they should not be attacking the Federation. And yet. . . they were.
Answers came in the form of a visitor. . . one whom the Captain remembered from his short time as a Borg. It was the Borg queen herself. She came on board with a rather unusual request: a request for help.
As it turned out, Lore, the Android brother of former Lt.Cmdr. Data, was reassembled by the Borg, but had gotten out of control. He had used his knowledge of the Borg to form his own collective once again, and this time, he had sent them against the Federation. The Borg queen seemed to be losing her hold over her followers. Chaos had erupted in the perfect collective. Chaos the Federation would be able to help solve.
The Borg Queen provided the co-ordinates of Lore. . . but it was quickly discovered that there were several Borg ships in orbit: Borg loyal to Lore. So a Federation fleet was formed. . . and pretty soon, the Gibraltar would be one of those, trying to destroy Lore. . . helping a ruthless enemy get rid of an enemy even *more* ruthless.

XO: Unadecal Arado, Commander
Chief Engineer: Angel Sachertorte, Ensign
Tactical: Sereana Westland, Lieutenant JG
Borg: Richardjrn Weatherwax
Special Guest Star:
Borg Expert: Kieran Braveheart, Lt.JG.
Summary:
The battle had gone well... but now it was time to find out *why* the Borg had entered Federation space anyway. It didn't make any sense: the Borg had been seriously compromised by Admiral Janeway back when she was in command of Voyager. So why were they here again?
So, the Gibraltar crew boarded the Borg cube... only to find it deserted. Well, not entirelly... there was one single Borg cube on board, who was an individual, and who even surrendered to the crew. From him, and from the information gathered at the Borg cube, this was a repair vessel... as there were two others out there: one in Klingon space, and one near Romulan space. Other Borg cubes were in Federation space too, but they apparently didn't offer any resistance.
What was going on? What was wrong with the Borg? Apparently, the Borg have suffered an illness... the collective is in disarray. That is, at least, what this Borg says. But can the Crew believe him? Especially when the Borg ship self destructs, and the crew can barely escape. What is because of a subspace transmission, or because of this Borg drone?
As the Crew struggles to find the answers, they set course to starbase 227 to deliver the Borg drone into safe Starfleet hands...

Episode 24: "The path to war"
USS Gibraltar, Episode 24: "The Path to War"
The Gibraltar, under command of Captain McMillan, encountered a stellar nursery near what used to be Romulan space, and went to investigate. However, the sudden arrival of the USS Zhukov with their Captain telling that they had an urgent message for the Gibraltar crew, made the crew all but forget about the science mission they had been on. The Captain of the Zhukov beamed one person on board, and then left, only to say 'good luck' to the crew.
When the turboliftdoors to the Brigde opened, a ghost from the past stepped in: Lt.jg Kieran Braveheart, former science officer of the Gibraltar and currently part of Admiral Janeway's Borg-research team, had arrived. The reunion was far from pleasant: he bore disturbing news. Starfleet Intel reported that no less than five Borg cubes were on their way to Federation space. Not all at one spot, but all around the Federation border: they were trying to prevent the Federation from forming one massive fleet, by splitting up their forces.
Lt.jg Braveheart didn't only bring this information though: he brought upgrades to the Gibraltar as well. After having studied upgrades done to Voyager when she came back from the Delta Quadrant, Starfleet Command had decided to give the Gibraltar similar upgrades. It would take the crew a week to install the systems. . . but it was a good shot against the Borg. So, the crew went to work.
When, after a week, the crew had finished installing the upgrades, the modified sensors detected what the crew had been fearing all week: a Borg cube, heading straight for them. It was time to put these upgrades to the test. . .

Cast and Crew:
RoBobby McMillan: Captain, CO
Sereana Westland: Lt.jg Chief of Security/Tactical
Angelis Bourne: Lt.jg, Chief of CONN
Rain Torvalar: Ensign, Chief of Science
Summary:
Captain McMillan called Lt.'s Westland and Bourne, and Ensign Torvalar, to his Ready Room. Apparently Starfleet sent them a rather disturbing order: to investigate the entire ship. Apparently someone or something was transmitting secret information off of the Gibraltar. It was up to these four officers -of which one might still be a traitor- to find out what was going on.
They searched through Engineering, they searched through the mess hall... and there they found it. A transmitter, hidden in a replicator, was found. Apparently... it was Federation in origine.
Heading back to the Bridge, the Gibraltar crew discovered more evidence that a bridge crew member was responsible for this. Surprise about this turned into disbelief: how could a Gibraltar crewmember have done such a thing?
Then however, Lieutenant Bourne stepped up, and confessed that he had been ordered by some Starfleet Admiralty to test these three officers. They had, after all, been on board Slade's station recently, and they had been beamed back by Slade. Also, Captain McMillan had been partially assimilated not long ago... all reasons for Starfleet's Security to 'test' the crew. They all passed, according to Bourne.
This did not go well with the other three officer.s Captain McMillan contacted Starfleet, but other than a confirmation of what Bourne had said, he didn't get any wiser. Not even the name of the Admiral was revealed...
With a breach in confidence, the Gibraltar crew had no choice but to continue doing their job, ready to go where no-one has gone before...

Episode 22: "No Rest For The Weary"
Ah, another quiet day at the Gibraltar. Captain McMillan, Lieutenant Westland and Ensign Torvalar were busy with their daily routine on the Bridge, when suddenly, a call came in from a Cardassian named 'Mandor'. As thanks for dealing with the Borg, he invited the three crewmembers to have some shore leave on his fully automated Cardassian station. Unfortunately he couldn't be there himself, but, so he assured, they would have time of their live.
Intrigued by the automated station, the crew beamed over from the Gibraltar, and encountered the station deserted. After a little walk though, they heard a familiar voice calling out. As they looked into the Brig, they saw Colonel Auer, a rather controversial member of Starfleet Intelligence and an old acqaintance of the Gibraltar Crew, stuck there. They quickly released him, but found that besides Auer, another familiar face was here on the Station.
Slade.
Demeter Slade was the reason why Captain McMillan and the Gibraltar had actually gone out on their mission in the first place. And now she was here again. Apparently the Gibraltar crew found on of Slade's safe havens. . . and she wasn't all that happy. She gave the crew one minute to escape, before she blew the station to bits. The crew escaped ,but not by their own doing: they were transported by an unknown ship -Slade?- back to the Gibraltar.
This was another reminder that Slade was still out there... and watching them.

Summary:
Now that the Borg were driven away, and the Captain restored to his normal self, there were still questions to be answered. Why did the Borg cube explode in orbit of the planet in the first place? Why hadn't the Borg tried to assimilate the native villagers? And why had the villages been empty?
So, the Gibraltar crew beamed down once again, this time, without encountering any Borg. But when they discovered a secret passageway to an ancient artifact and a hidden village, strange things started happening. The crew got the feeling that they were being followed, and indeed, Ms. Magic saw someone up on the hill side... before being lifted up from the ground and thrown against a rock by... nothing!
As the crew found the hidden city, they realised that they weren't dealing with a pre-warp civilisation at all... the village was primitive, but the vilalgers most certainly weren't: they had evolved into non-coporeal beings, trying to protect their village, which most likely was kept as a monument. And they definitely didn't want trespassers.
It was at that point, that one by one, the crew started to black out. When they woke up, they were back at the Gibraltar, with a message in their minds: 'keep away'. That, the crew concluded, might be the best thing to do...

Snowhite Loire - Borg Drone 2
Summary
The Gibraltar crew, still under Lt Jg Braveheart's command had agreed on their plan, and had 2 hours left to rescue the Captain and escape. with a Borg cube due to arrive 34 minutes later.
Upon beaming down to the crash site, the crew ound that these Borg weren't like others, as they started to open fire immediately, however the crew stood their ground and returned fire. Upon reaching the Captain, they found that he had been assimilated and started firing on the crew, however after a long and difficult fire fight, with the Borg losing, the crew got the Captain back to the ship. Unfortunately the Borg followed. After Braveheart had disabled one, he had the drone beamed back down to the planet. The second drone unfortunately was more difficult, and ended up being taken 'prisoner'.
LtJg Braveheart ordered the drone to be placed into a level 10 forcefield and for Starfleet to be advised of the situation. Sereana advised Braveheart that the drone was formerly Lt Snowhite Loire, Assistant Chief Engineer of the USS Akagi, which was since confirmed as assimilated.
Dr Seesaw took 'Snowhite' to sickbay to try and remove the implants. Meanwhile, on the bridge, a communique came through from Admiral Janeway from Starfleet Command. Lt Braveheart asked for the communique to be rerouted to the Captain's Ready Room, and was advised that he is receiving a transfer... To the new Anti-Borg Task Force on Earth, along with being transferred to the Command Division. He is to take up position in 2 weeks.

Summary:
The Captain was taken by the Borg down on the planet surface, and it was to the Gibraltar crew to think of a plan to rescue him. But how? Radiation from the Borg escape pod's damaged Engine made it difficult for the Gibraltar crew to scan the area, or to find out where exactly the Captain was. Further more, the radiation prevented the usage of the transporter. What was the crew to do?
Even more trouble came their way. Starfleet had detected a Borg rescue ship heading towards the planet. It would arrive in approximately three hours. Starfleet told acting captain Braveheart that if he couldn't get Captain McMillan off of the planet by then, they should leave.
Then, suddenly, Lt.jg Westland and Ensign McCloud had an idea: warm up one part of the atmosphere so that wind would be blowing away from it. . . blowing away the radiation cloud. This rather riskful operation worked, and now the Gibraltar crew will be able to beam down -but not beam McMillan up because of a force field covering him- to rescue their Captain.

Summary:
This Gibraltar mission started with a shock for Ensign Westland. When the Captain suddenly started saying that she wasn't suited for her rank, her Vulcan control over her emotions nearly disappeared. However, when this turned out to be a way of promoting her, even Ms. Sereana would admit she felt proud.
The good times didn't last long. A message from Starfleet Command came in, and Captain McMillan went to the ready room to see what it was. Obviously, these were new orders. But when he came back, he looked as if he had seen a ghost. With the voice of someone who was the bearer of grave news, he ordered the Gibraltar to planet G-232: on the edge of Federation space, in what used to be Romulan space. There, he announced to the crew, Starfleet sensors had monitored a Borg cube.
But that wasn't all. Starfleet's sensors had confirmed that this cube had, for reasons as of yet unknown, exploded, sending down a single escape pod to the planet's surface. There seemed to be no debris whatsoever in orbit. The Gibraltar's mission would be three-fold: To protect the native, pre-warp civilisation from the Borg, to find out what happened to the Borg cube, and, if possible, to collect whatever was used against the cube, so that Starfleet could study it.
It wasn't long before the Gibraltar arrived at the desert planet G-232. Upon beaming down, the armed landing party conducted scans, but found no Borg readings whatsoever. They did find a huge tower with teleporter chrystals: technology they hadn't expected to see on a planet with a pre-warp civilisation. Could there be some god-like alien entity at work here, protecting the inhabitants? And was that what had happened to the Borg cube as well, when it was considered a threat?
From the high tower, the crew could overlook the entire valley, and quickly spotted a deep crater in the south-west. This, they figured, had to be the place where the Borg pod had landed. With weapons at the ready, the crew moved in.
However, en-route, as Captain McMillan walked alone for a few moments, the good Captain's voice was heard over the communicators of the rest of the team. He reported spotting the Borg. . . but then, the communication was cut. No sign of the Captain, anywhere. An extensive search followed, but the Captain couldn't be found.
Upon beaming back to the Gibraltar, Lt.jg Braveheart took charge, and ordered Starfleet to be contacted: what was there to do? Starfleet, still wanting to know more about this planet, authorised a rescue attempt. So once again, the crew pick up their weapons, this time to save their Captain before he gets assimilated. . . or would it be too late already?

Impromptu Roleplay: "are the dominion back?"
USS Gibraltar

"Are The Dominion Back?" - Night Shift
Crew
Commanding Officer: Kieran Braveheart
Security/Tactical: Echos Lockjaw
Helm: Michelle Darkfold
As the Gibraltar had dropped off their Romulan guest on his homeworld, they were attached to Task Force 19 and ordered to patrol the Romulan border during peace talks. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a Carddasian Ship comes in to sensor range on a direct course to Romulan Space. The Commander identified himself as Gul Marenk of the Carddasian Scout Ship Dukat, they were unwilling to back down, causing Braveheart to order the ship to red alert with all weapons armed. At that same time, a Cardassian warship was also close to firing range
After a fierce fire fight and many systems down, Braveheart had Mr Lockjaw contact Starfleet for reinforcements, and Starfleet sent the Galaxy and the Akira.
Braveheart went on to offer Marenk the chance to stand down, after finding out that 2 starfleet vessels were enroute, he reluctantly agreed. Although his final words somewhat disturbed Braveheart and the Gibraltar bridge crew...
... "We Will Back Off! But you haven't heard the last of this! The Dominion will overrun this Quadrant!!!"
This information was relayed to both the Galaxy and the Akira who went on to speak to Starfleet.
Following the fire fight, the crew worked hard and with dedication to make the bridge as good as new as quickly as they could.
So now the only question that remains...Are the Dominion going to be back? Are they not?
We will continue to investigate whilst also continuing to carry out our primary mission, to explore new worlds and make first contact with unknown species.

Episode 17: "Going down" part 2
Cast and crew:
CO: RoBobby McMillan
Science: Kieran Braveheart
Security: Arno Menkez
Helm: Crix Clawtooth
Medical: Hermione Seesaw
Previously on the USS Gibraltar:
After the Gibraltar received a distress call from a Romulan at an unknown planet, where, apparently, two factions were at war, and he was in the middle. Due to ionic interference, the transporters couldn't be used, so two shuttles were dispatched. Unfortunately, they were hit by the ionic interference, and became unable to control. Spiralling down to the sea, the crews only hoped they could survive the impact. Thank goodness they did... but now they faced their next challenge: surviving, and trying to contact the Gibraltar.
And now the conclusion.
As the crew started to make their way ashore, they had to find out which way to swim to. There were two directions to go to, and Captain McMillan took one team towards the first possible location where this Romulan could be hiding. The team arrived at shore wet, cold, but alive. After warming up a bit, the team, consisting of Captain McMillan, Petty Officer Menkez, Doctor Seesaw, Ensign Braveheart and Lieutenant JG Clawtooth, walked North East, where they found houses! Apparently this place was occupied. Nobody was in sight though... and there wasn't any damage to the buildings either! Wasn't there a war going on?
Onwards they went, passing what seemed to be a statue of some sort, of a man in a red dress and a white beard, which said 'ho ho ho'. Puzzled, the team moved on, finally coming to a beacon which seemed to be put there to warn ships of the shoreline. Surprisingly, unknown readings were coming from this beacon, and Ensign Braveheart and Petty Officer Menkez took a look. They almost couldn't believe it, but this seemed to be an Iconian beacon! With a few adjustments, they were able to signal their position to the Gibraltar.
When they beamed up, they quickly retreived the rest of the Gibraltar crew.. and the Romulan. He was beamed to sickbay, where he lay unconscious, but alive. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Due to the Iconian technology present, Captain McMillan decided to stay at this planet a bit longer than planned to do some scientific research...
